Responsibilites

 To manage the screening of the new chemistry technology, and confirm the feasibility of the transformation and industrialization, make the estimation of the investment of the project, and support the new technology development of company China Chemical plant, especially the dangerous chemical intermediates process development and localization.
 To do a global Technological/Scientific & Competitive Intelligence in the field of chemistry. Develop new synthesis route of methionine and derivatives, and make sure the transformation from lab to pilot.
 To structure projects studies (objectives, resources, delay, milestone, follow-up, reporting).
 To promote innovations by writing relevant patents.
 To prospects for collaboration with Universities or Industry.
 To do chemical synthesis with the technicians/operators in order to fulfil all the requirements needed to move to next steps in project management procedure.
 To respond to R&D services and requests (plant production, process team, business, sales, finance…).
 To assist in continuous improvement in laboratory, propose new method and suggestions and take an active part in department meetings.
 To prepare monthly reports of his R&D work and quarterly newsletter of chemistry and processes.
 To manage and ensure the development of technicians under his responsibility: management, planning of experiments, follow-up of progress, training, development, KPI definition.

Qualifications

 Doctoral degree or above, majoring in organic chemistry, chemical engineering, etc., with 7-10 years of relevant field experience.

 Experience in reactor/reaction/process optimization in fine chemicals or pharmaceuticals is preferred.
 Possess experience in the development and industrialization of hazardous chemicals processes.
 Be proficient in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English in daily work.
 Have the ability to estimate the cost of chemical projects.
 Possess the vision and judgment to screen, transform and implement chemical technologies.
 Be capable of managing global R&D projects or complex major regional projects.
 Independently undertake a certain professional technical ability at the RICA level to propose or lead new ideas or projects related to product development, process optimization and technical services.
 The ability to manage complex projects and influential innovation and development capabilities are core requirements.
 Experience in organic synthesis or process research and development.
 Familiar with chemical analysis methods, including experience in HPLC, GC, MS and other analytical methods.
 Use professional information tools (databases, ChemDraw, etc.) and chemical software: ChemDraw, Aspen Plus.
 Read and understand scientific and/or technical documents related to chemistry and analysis.
