Responsibilites
Lead and oversee the BSF genetics and breeding programs, developing a clear strategy and roadmap to achieve project’s goals.
Develop and manage genetics projects plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure the successful – coordinate with Client’s partners.
Responsible for implementing and refining selection criteria to identify and propagate superior genetic lines, focusing on traits such as growth rate, nutrient conversion efficiency, reproduction and other zootechnical performance traits.
Plan, execute, and manage controlled experiments relating to breeding activities, ensuring data collected accurately.
Build up and take charge of a genetics and breeding team of researchers and operators
Collaborate with internal and external partners, consultants, research institutions, and industrial stakeholders to leverage expertise, share knowledge and drive innovation.
Qualifications
BSc in Entomology, Genetics, or related fields with a strong focus on insects’ bio-physiology.
Min. 3 years’ experience in R&D filed in entomology or/and animal’s genetic and breeding programs including at least 1 year in a project lead position.
Experience in genetic analysis, quantitative genetics, and molecular techniques is a plus.

Proven leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for scientific aspects and collaboration in English. Contact point for external international partners
