Ideally a mechanical engineer, with some electrical knowledge and the ability to sell all our products which are both mechanical and electronics (with a mechanical bias).
Experience in the material handling / conveying industry is an advantage. But open to an experience range.
Must have the ability to work on your own for periods of time. Needs to have strong ambition and drive to take company AP to the next level with sales. Must be able to communicate at all levels. The ability to have good sales techniques will strong engineering and problem solving skills
Need to be able to generate your own quotes to each customer and visit them when required.
Need to maintain and grow existing customer accounts and find new business.
Need to be able to conduct site visits to customers and be able to communicate with site engineers, purchasing right up to senior management
Will have ongoing extensive product training from company
Our core sales initially is in the animal feed industry for mechanical handling of the feed i.e., conveying systems, which include parts for bucket elevators, safety monitoring etc. for their spares such as elevator buckets, belting etc. Conveyor chains. Also, our electronic hazard monitoring equipment and sensors.
Will also need to deal with some OEM customers and installers in the same industries and sell to them also. So, End user, re-seller, installer and OEM sales. With End user being the core.
We also want to reach out and expand further from our core industry, into other markets and industries such as cement, aggregates, industrial products, sugar cane, rice, port facilities etc. and expand our market in overall.
English communication (speaking, writing)
Degree in Engineering or high-level education /or high-level experience level
