Responsibilites
1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of existing production processes and work with the operations team to keep the production line operating at its best.
2. Design, operate, test, and upgrade existing systems and processes.
3. Improve processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, enhance sustainability, improve product quality, and maximize profitability.
4. Assess process deviations, take corrective action, and interpret data.
5. Ensure R&I supports the production team in operating processes under optimal economic, health, safety, and environmental conditions.
6. Support investment projects and continuously improve our production processes to possess the most competitive technologies.
7. Collaborate with academic and industrial partners to develop innovation and technological breakthroughs while respecting sustainable development principles.
8. Focus on loss control, improving yield, and identifying and eliminating bottlenecks to increase capacity.
9. A good understanding of digital technologies and their application to process control, improvement, operational guidance, etc.
10. Develop best practices, processes, and innovative solutions to improve productivity and product quality.
11. Assist the production team in resolving production issues, product quality problems, etc.
12. Ensure the completeness of project documentation and compliance with internal and external regulations and requirements.
13. Responsible for monitoring new processes and integrating them into the existing environment.
15. Work with the project team to conduct project cost analysis and optimize project design to find ways to control costs.
16. Develop new process flows according to specifications, then implement and track the new processes, and participate in the commissioning and start-up of the new processes.
17. Accept overseas assignments required due to project implementation.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering and Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; PhD or above; or a Master’s degree with at least 5-7 years of experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of experience in process optimization or production operations in an international chemical company.
2. Capable of independently undertaking a specific technical task at the R&D level, proposing or leading new ideas or projects related to product development, process optimization, and technical services.
3. Strong process optimization and problem-solving abilities.
4. Experience in process optimization and calculation: material balance, use of process engineering software, and data statistical analysis skills.
5. Strong awareness and knowledge of health and safety regulations in the current environment.
6. Critical/logical thinking; able to identify problem areas and then consider these problems from different perspectives to evaluate the best solution.
7. Excellent communication skills; able to work closely with the operations team and other functional departments to effectively communicate new ideas.
8. Remain calm under pressure and be able to identify and solve problems at a high level. If problems delay production, be able to quickly propose effective solutions.
9. Good computer skills and analytical abilities – responsible for analyzing and interpreting data into charts, graphs, and reports.
10. Knowledge of process safety, such as HAZOP and RA/RM, is preferred.
11. Good spoken and written English skills, and able to adapt to overseas work environments.
12. Knowledge of Six Sigma is preferred.
13. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in methionine synthesis, related key processes, continuous process capabilities and experience, wastewater/VOC control, energy management, and related reactors and equipment.
14. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in multinational chemical companies or engineering EPC companies.
