Responsibilites
1. Lead and develop the animal nutrition department (10-15 FTE) in China R&I, including from Principal Scientists to Lab Technicians.
2. Based on market and customer needs, and the frontier technologies in animal nutrition, manage and continuously enrich healthy R&I pipelines especially for the Specialties Feed Additives Business, and ensure the NPD milestones and deliveries, together with relevant internal partners such as Business Development Managers, Product Managers, Technical Services and Specialties Operations.
3. Provide back-office and research-based supports to complex problems among pro-, onand post-sales scenarios during initial promotion periods after product launches.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure that all products meet standards.
5. Manage, operate and develop the animal nutrition platforms from in-vitro, ex-vivo, to in-vivo in R&I center. Manage animal trials and relevant testing institutes for R&I and product promotion activities. Design and implement experiments to evaluate the efficacy of different feed additives on animal growth, health, and production.
6. Review and track the state-of-the-art literatures and researches, and collaborate with external research partners and academic institutions, to ensure advanced and frontier understanding of animal nutrition and feed additive domains.
7. Ensure essential and sufficient key accounts visits and contacts, and so forth keep the up-to-date insights and understanding of customers and the feed industry.
8. Participate in the development of intellectual property strategies and assist with patent applications and filings
Qualifications
1. Doctor or above degree is preferred, major in Animal Nutrition, Animal Veterinary, Biology or related, with >5yr experience
2. Strong knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition, and feed formulation
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
4. Familiarity with regulatory requirements for animal feed additives
5. Familiarity with laboratory safety and quality control procedures
6. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
8. Able to own a specific tech competence at China global level to drive new ideas or projects for development, optimization and service; able to drive and lead to solve key influencial technical issues and affairs with cross-entity/-regions complexity.
9. Able to possess industrial influence at domestic level; able to lead tech team to finish scoping, research and analysis within technical domain, to creatively propose research direction, and to establish the whole research paradigm and project process
