Job Profile
The strategic marketing director has profound influence and impact to our commercial success. This role is responsible for translating the value proposition and business strategy into marketing strategy, and for executing it through his/her own team.
The role will be positioned as a management team member in Nutreco Vietnam, reporting directly to General Manager of company in Vietnam.
The team of strategic marketing will consist of experts from market communication, commercial excellence and commercial projects.
Job Description
Strategy
 Collaborates with Technical and Sales Department to formulate the Commercial strategies, marketing strategies consistent with the business strategy of the OpCo in short and (mid) long term marketing plans and the framework for the key areas.
 Look beyond today, define future offer to the markets, per product and services.
 Together with commercial team, design route to market, and responsible for the end-to end implementation from market penetration, product development and commercial execution.
 Update and upgrade the marketing strategy according to market trend, sales performance and readiness and technical availability.
Product lifecycle and service model management
 Translates marketing strategy into clear and practical price, product, place and promotion policies.
 Responsible for overall product portfolio and full lifecycle management, be the local owner and global focal point of Vietnam.
 Collaborate with Technical to develop new product and services, from idea to constant revenue stream.
 Keep developing and innovating our service model to the market, ensure our product and services are always fit for today and future.
Market research
 Monitors, analyses and reports facts and insights on customer and farmer needs and trends, to provide customers and farmers insight and accurate market information that enables to formulate an effective strategy for the department.
 Assess and understand the market, competition, and our performance at national, provincial, regional, and county level,
 Bring clear, simple, accurate and in-depth report and analysis of above.
Marketing communication
 Ensures the development and realization of marketing materials and campaigns for OpCo use, within corporate communication guidelines, in order to realize a valuable, consistent and powerful product positioning.
Budget control
 Controls the budget of the marketing activities in the OpCo, takes corrective actions when necessary, and ensures adequate reporting, within corporate guidelines, to ensure that the department delivers its budget and meets KPI objectives.
Team management
 Organizes, manages, develops staff in line with OpCo guidelines, in order to be equipped for current and future business challenges and contribute to the optimization of business results.
Ethics & Compliance
 Ensures full adherence to the SHV and Nutreco Values, Code of Ethics and all related policies and procedures included in the Policy House of Nutreco, in all of the activities performed by or on behalf of the SKV and Trouw.
Any other tasks assigned by line manager.
Key Performance Indicators
 Realization of business targets: Market share, Volumes, Marketing Opex.
 Customer’ satisfaction, develop strategy to expand in aqua/Trouw market in Vietnam
 New business development
 Talent development and succession planning
 Compliance with corporate, country and local regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Qualifications
 At least a Bachelor/master’s degree, preferably in marketing or nutrition/technical areas.
 Minimum of 10 years working experience in a similar role.
 Affinity with the agricultural sector.
 Management experience in a complex, global organization.
 Interests or proven track record in digital developments.
 Understanding of KAM management and distribution/retail.
 Fluent English (both writing and speaking).
 Innovative, collaborative, open minded and great orchestration skills in matrix organizations.
 Sharp with numbers and trends, forward thinking with down to earth working style.
 Strategic Thinking with Operational excellence
 Can travel frequently

Reports To

This position will report directly to General Manager
