Responsibilites
Oversee end-to-end technical operations in China, with alignment to the Managing Director’s strategic objectives.
Ensure all technical processes and products comply with ISO 9001 standards.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of ESG requirements and integrate relevant standards into daily operations.
Collaborate closely with the European headquarters and local Chinese management teams to align technical strategies, resolve cross-regional issues, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Build, scale, and lead high-performing technical teams in China, with a focus on talent recruitment, development, and retention.
Balance cost control, product quality, and delivery timelines to meet business targets.
Implement robust risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks.
Translate European governance, compliance rules, and technical processes into actionable, localized practices in China.
Qualifications
Strategic Competencies
Proven track record of building and scaling technical organizations in the Chinese market.
Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, able to act as a bridge between global HQ and local teams.
Strong capability to balance cost optimization, quality assurance, and on-time delivery.
Expertise in risk identification and mitigation in technical and manufacturing operations.
Deep understanding of European compliance standards and Chinese business culture, with the ability to reconcile and implement both in local practices.
Language & Communication Requirements
Mandarin Chinese: Fluent, professional working proficiency (native or bilingual level).
English: Fluent, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Capable of translating technical requirements and guidelines from headquarters into actionable execution plans for local teams.
Ability to present technical insights and operational reports to both Chinese and European stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior overseas work experience in EU countries (Denmark, Italy, Netherlands preferred).
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Industry 4.0 tools.
Academic background in Mechanical Engineering or Automation is preferred.
Knowledge of EU and US food equipment standards.
Strong leadership skills with experience in cross-cultural team management.
