Responsibilites
▪ Support the Manager of Beijing Office and the China Director in building MEF yearly marketing strategic plan, marketing initiatives and budget.
▪ Maintain regular contacts with members, local customers, traders and restaurants and retailers for retail and foodservice market information necessary to formulate and evaluate marketing strategy and marketing initiatives.
▪ Formulate, execute, and monitor MEF marketing promotions (online and offline) in the northern region or work on programs with national accounts in collaboration with other MEF marketing staffs.
▪ Organize seminars and training to retail, foodservice and trade related customers in the Northern China area. Organize other marketing events or initiatives as required.
▪ Keep close attention to the retail and HRI market development trend and look for growth opportunities for company. This includes focusing on product development, such as prepared dishes; Explore new channel developments. Enhance communication and links with processing plants for added value products.
▪ Formulate and implement marketing contracts for retail and HRI activities in the Northern China including contacting potential contractors, requesting formal quotations, negotiating terms, as directed; organize and make recommendations to the Director and/or the related staff regarding such contracts.
▪ Coordinate evaluations and submission of activity reports, market updates, monthly report and other reports to the supervisors.
▪ Coordinate with the marketing staffs for the collection and file of promotion related documentation, including contracts, promotion reports, and expenditure documentation. Organize and maintain all filing systems related to retail marketing activities.
▪ Assist MEF Shanghai marketing personnel to organize and execute trade shows or other marketing programs as requested.
▪ Perform other duties including trade services and programs as outlined by the Director.
Qualifications
▪ Bachelor’s degree or above, preferred in Marketing, International trade, but it is not a must.
▪ Over 3-5 years of working experience in marketing related section or meat protein industry
▪ Good knowledge and solid experience of marketing and online and offline promotion management, be familiar with all the process and procedures and can work independently to manage promotion activities with or without agency support; able to delivery analysis report and ROI of promotion performance
▪ Have sense of e-commerce and able to plan and execute e-commerce promotion
▪ Strong passion for food business, good understanding of and affinity to the food sector broadly, experience with food marketing is a plus
▪ Experience in project management
▪ Ability to work under pressure with positive attitude.
▪ Ability to work independently, in the meantime, can also work cohesively within a team
▪ Experience in foreign owned businesses or multinational culture working background is preferred.
▪ Experience in renowned companies or Fresh products (Meat, Dairy, Fruit) or FMSG companies is preferred.
▪ Completely sound integrity and trustworthiness aligned with modern business practices and ethics
▪ Self-driven, strong initiative and following up spirit
▪ Hands on, be good at details and accurate
▪ Demonstrates good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills both Chinese and English
▪ Collaborative relationships, ability to lead, motivate and manage cross‐functional teams
▪ Good knowledge of consumer insights and market intelligence and innovative thinking
▪ Commercial sense and good reporting skills
▪ Be familiar with computer and good at Word, Excel, Power Point and etc.
