Responsibilites
Build and ensure execution of company R&D plan & strategy
Define objectives, timelines, resource plan including budget for 1-, 3- and 5-years R&D plan in line with company business objectives
Work closely with company pluridisciplinary team of researchers and technicians currently led by company R&D Manager (who supervises and manage R&D team and all R&D activities at Dong Nai site)
Ensure great communication with upper management and departments heads to understand the business needs and priorities to best shape the R&D plan accordingly
Identify relevant new potential R&D partners (academics, institutes, private companies, etc.), enter and negotiate agreements, ensure great collaboration with such partners
Build and implement company IP strategy related to R&D aspects
Provide the relevant R&D related conclusions / results to CEOs and relevant HODs on a frequent basis to best shape company strategy
Represent company at events, during stakeholder discussions, etc.
Schedule
– Min 2 days/week on site (Vinh Cuu, Dong Nai Province – R&D Center company and Vung Tau – world class factory – 1.30-2.00 drive from Saigon) required to follow ongoing trials, liaise with R&D team, understand the industrial needs and challenges – Transport provided
– Otherwise, HCMC office
Qualifications
Strong business acumen
Great verbal and presentation skills
5+ years’ experience leading R&D Projects in the food/feed/health/veterinary/biotech industry and reporting at highest management level
3+ years experience leading teams of 20+ members
Min Master’s Degree in Animal Nutrition, Biotech or Life science related studies
MBA or other business degrees is a plus
Strong focus in applied research with transfer to industrial scale
Strong understanding of Intellectual Property is a plus
Great communication skills in English. Vietnamese is a plus
Metric driven
Proficient in MS Office
Proficient with statistical and data analysis tools
