Role and Main Objectives
The Genetic Production Director Asia is responsible for the management and monitoring of all genetic selection and multiplication farms (owned or joint venture) within the Asia perimeter (excluding HCPB and CIA). The main objective is to ensure the availability, quality, and genetic performance of products delivered to customers, while standardizing operational processes in the region.
Scope
Geographical Area: China (excluding HCPB and CIA), Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines.
Activities: Management of selection/multiplication farms owned or in Joint-Venture (JV).
Operational Farm Management
Matrix Management: Lead and manage the Country Production/Breeding Managers (matrix relationship with Country Directors).
Resources: Ensure Human Resources management (recruitment, training), financial management (production budget), and monitoring of farm production performance.
Project Monitoring: Coordinate and monitor new farm setup projects (buildings, stocking, recruitment, training) according to the action plan.
Quality and Compliance: Guarantee the availability and quality of genetic products delivered to final customers.
Genetic and Technical Management
Selection: Implement and manage genetic selection in strict accordance with the objectives defined by the Nucleus program.
Technical Support: Ensure that the farms benefit from the necessary technical support to optimize performance.
Standardization and Process Improvement
Management System: Implement a homogeneous and standardized management system across all countries (software, operational processes, reporting).
Partner Relations: Manage the operational relationship with JV farm partners to ensure alignment with group standards.
Location and Mobility
Location: Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh) or Thailand (Bangkok) or China (HeNan/SH/BJ)
Travel: Frequent trips (several weeks) to the various production sites in Asia (China
Qualifications
Agronomy Engineer, Veterinarian or equivalent with a specialization in genetics and/or animal production.
Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in managing animal production operations on an international scale, ideally in Asia.
Proven ability to manage multicultural teams and work in a matrix organization.
Solid expertise in managing genetic selection and/or multiplication farms.
Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in French and/or an Asian language(Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc.) is a plus.
Leadership, autonomy, rigor, strong adaptability, and results oriented.
